Modern local history movement through the personalities: Enver Makhmudovich Trakhov

The article is devoted to the analysis of social initiatives of Enver Makhmudovich Trakhov, one of the brightest figures in the modern local history movement in the Kuban and Adygea, descendant of a prominent Adyghe educator Liu Trakhov. Professional activities of E. M. Trakhov in the field of remote sensing of the Earth surface, land monitoring, environment, soil cover was closely associated with space exploration. E. M. Trakhov and members of the cosmonaut corps are connected by long-term friendship. It is natural that educational initiatives of E. M. Trakhov are focused on the promotion of space heritage of the region, the perpetuation of the memory about the heroes of space exploration, forming museum collections on the history of cosmic researches and the development of aerospace education of students and youth. The authors note that E. M. Trakhov actively promotes the idea of the relationship of history of space research and history of the region. It contributes to the development of patriotic sentiments of the population.
