The article reveals the essence of the active operations of commercial banks. The author analyzes the active operations of commercial banks and identifies both positive and negative trends in the development of the banking sector. The article also assesses the current state of the entire banking sector in Russia. As a result of the study, the role of banking sector assets in the development of the economy of the whole country was revealed.
