Modern condition of diagnostics and surgical treatment of acute pancreatitis

Acute pancreatitis is an aseptic inflammation of a pancreas resulting in its necrosis. Acute pancreatitis morbidity is growing, on the average it is 200 - 800 people on each 1000000 a year. Main etiological cause is alimental factor, alcohol in particular. A number of lethal causes is 11-40%. The best diagnostic method is multispiral computer tomography. Surgical tactic depends on the stage of the disease, but there are no common approaches in curing of pancreatitis.
