The current state and dynamics of global imports of clothing

The article is devoted to the issues of the current state and dynamics of world imports of clothing by the leading importing countries. The factors that influenced the changes in the international trade in clothing over the last 20 years are investigated. The reasons for the transfer of production of export clothing to Asian developing countries are revealed. The factors influencing the dynamics and directions of changes in clothing imports in connection with the peculiarities of the functioning of the global value chains (GVC) of the fashion industry have been investigated.
