The article discusses the current state and prospects for improving the combustion chambers of gas turbine engines. The main requirements for combustion chambers are given and the main trends in their improvement are analyzed. The issues of improving burning efficiency, reducing emissions of harmful substances and optimizing the design of the combustion chamber to achieve the required performance are considered. Attention is paid to the application of new materials and technologies, such as the use of composite materials and additive technologies. Promising areas of development of combustion chambers are also explored and the processes occurring in combustion chambers are considered.
