Current state and prospects of development Iran 's oil and gas complex

The author of the article examined the main features of the development of the oil and gas industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the present stage, as well as explores the challenges and threats of the Iranian oil and gas complex against the backdrop of global trends. The Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) plays a significant role as a supplier of hydrocarbon natural resources, petrochemical products, and also as a transit country for oil and gas products. However, according to the study, under the financial and economic sanctions introduced against Iran, bankruptcy of production enterprises in the industry was observed. After the lifting of sanctions, a new problem arose associated with the formation of effective management of the industry with relatively limited financial resources. The article discusses the technical and financial capabilities of Iran, the dynamics of cost growth associated with a move to the global scientific and technological level.
