The current state and perspectives of development of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation at the regional level (case of the Republic of Tatarstan)

The article considers the current state of the Russian-Chinese economic cooperation at the regional level. It is noted that foreign economic activity of the regions plays an important role in the economic cooperation of countries. The development of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation is considered on the example of foreign economic activity of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is one of the regions of Russia, successfully developing economically and innovatively. The dynamics of the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Tatarstan with China in 2015-2019 is shown. The analysis of the volume of exportimport operations for the years 2015-2019 was made. The share of exports of the Republic of Tatarstan to China in total exports and the share of imports from China to the Republic of Tatarstan in total imports is considered. The structure of exports of basic goods from Tatarstan to China was analyzed on the data of 2017, which was a record in terms of the volume of exports of Tatarstan goods to China. The main prospects for the development of Tatarstan-Chinese economic cooperation are highlighted.
