Current state and problems of the mentoring system implementation in the conditions of lifelong learning

The key problems of the implementation of mentoring activities in the system of continuous education are highlighted. The forms and models of mentoring used at different levels of the lifelong learning system are described. The actual tasks of the institution of mentoring in Russian education are formulated in relation to modern socio-cultural conditions. The functions of the institution of mentoring are listed, the mechanisms for the implementation of mentoring activities in educational organizations of various levels are described. The advantages, disadvantages and risks of using various models of mentoring at the level of general and secondary specialized education, higher education, additional education of children and mentoring of adults studying in additional educational programs in formal, non-formal and informal education are revealed.
