To the issue of obtaining by operational units of the internal affairs bodies information from credit

The article presents the results of a comprehensive criminological study of the current state, level and dynamics of crime related to illicit arms trafficking. Regularities of development of this type of crime for the last five years are investigated. In addition, data on convictions for illegal actions and violations of the rules of handling weapons, ammunition, explosive devices and explosives have also been analysed for over a five-year period. Attention is also paid to the implementation of these crimes. For a comprehensive study of a number of indicators, periods of ten and fifteen years are also taken into account. On the basis of the analysis, the author formulated the most significant provisions on the current state of crime associated with illicit arms trafficking, proposed a short-term forecast of its development, as well as ways to improve the fight against this type of crime.
