The current state of education in the Russian Federation and ways to improve it

The article examines the state of the education system in Higher education. The level of modern training of high school graduates, applicants entering the university is reflected. The main data of state expenditures on education as a percentage of the Gross national Product of the country are presented. The main disadvantages of distance learning for students and schoolchildren are shown. Recommendations for changing the system of school and university education are given.
