Modern condition of crime for minors

Effective countering juvenile delinquency requires the study of its modern qualitative and quantitative indicators. Criminological studies of the state of various types of crime make it possible to focus attention on their specifics, to determine priority areas of preventive activity, to develop and effectively apply appropriate crime prevention measures. Considering that juvenile delinquency reflects the social situation in the country, shows the degree of severity of negative processes occurring in the state, the severity of contradictions that cause criminal sentiment and is prognostic for general crime, the relevance of the article is beyond doubt. Based on the study, the authors presented a criminological characteristic of the main indicators of juvenile delinquency over the past five years (from 2014 to 2018), taking into account not only national values, but also regional ones, which made it possible to identify disadvantaged and prosperous federal districts and subjects of the Russian Federation. The results of the study made it possible to attribute the increase in the number of minors who committed crimes as part of an organized group or a criminal community (criminal organization) to the main negative trends in juvenile delinquency; unemployed; committed crimes in a state of toxic intoxication and after parole. In the structure of juvenile delinquents, there was an increase in the proportion of people aged 14-15 years, women, students and students. These trends were observed against the background of a general decline in the number of persons identified for committing crimes. It is noted that minors become victims two and a half times more often than criminals. The official statistical reporting has recorded an increase in the number of juvenile victims of crime, dead and seriously injured. The article also contains a brief description of the causes that determine juvenile delinquency. Attention is paid to socio-economic, organizational, legal and moral-psychological reasons.
