The review presents evolution in comprehension of complex regional pain syndrome, it's history, etiology, pathogenesis, prognostic and diagnostic aspects. The authors compare different methods of conservative and surgical treatment. In conclusion, the authors point to ineffectiveness of present prognostic methods and impossibility of addressed prevention and preventive treatment.
