Current state of the transport complex and the problems of its development in terms of spatial development of Russia

This scientific article deals with topical issues of development of the transport system of the Russian Federation, which is one of the most important conditions for economic growth. The authors assess the current state of the transport complex, including structural and dynamic analysis of the cost of fixed assets of the transport industry, as well as the analysis of investments aimed at the development of transport infrastructure. The paper focuses on the state policy in the field of transport security and accessibility throughout Russia in terms of spatial development. It provides an overview of the results achieved in the main areas of the Transport strategy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030. As a result of the study identified the key problems, the successful solution of which will improve the efficiency of the economy and unlock the potential of economic development of the regions.
