The current state of the tourism industry in Latvia

Today Latvia is rapidly increasing the momentum of the development of the tourism sector. The article deals with the peculiarities of the tourism industry in Latvia, as well as the participation of the state in this economically important area. The purpose of the article is to study the legal basis of the tourism sector, as well as to analyze the current state of tourism in Latvia. Studied local government bodies, their impact on the tourism sector. An effective strategy for the development of the tourism sector on the part of the state has been determined: an increase in the participation of private enterprises in the tourism sector, infrastructure development, active participation in information and innovation processes.
