Current state of criminal offences committed in the Republic of Kazakhstan in public places, and issues of statistical policies

The significance of the sign “public place” in the current criminal and administrative legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan is determined. The absence of a normative concept of this feature has led to the practical need for its formulation in statistical reporting. The concept and criteria for classification of public places (time of use, availability of protection, accessibility, security level) are considered. The consideration of statistically typical features revealed as a result of the analysis of the dynamics and structure of criminal offenses committed in public places deserves special criminological evaluation and response.
