The current state of working conditions in power industry

The article discusses the state of labour conditions in the electricity industry, which, at the present stage, is of paramount value. The results of studies have shown that labour conditions in the energy sector do not meet hygienic requirements and are characterized by the presence of adverse factors of the production environment. The branch of power industry occupies one of the leading places in economic activity on the number of workers taken in harmful and dangerous working conditions. The article provides a comparative assessment of the specific number of workers employed in hazardous and dangerous working conditions, which tends to increase. Thus, in 2004, 5.5% of the total number of employees of the industry were engaged in heavy work ; in 2010 - 9.8%. The analysis of statistical data indicates that more than 60% of employees work in hazardous conditions. It is established that the analysis of working conditions allows to assess the current standing of safe-ty,the presence of harmful and dangerous production factors, which are sources of accidents and occupational diseases.
