Current interaction of the European Union and the Russian Federation in the Kaliningrad region during impact of sanctions

The article is devoted to the mechanism of ensuring the regional security of the Kaliningrad region and cooperation with the European Union in conditions of the modern economic and political situation. The general bases of the modern component of the economic and political situation in the Kaliningrad region are exposed; the key operating directions of interaction of the Kaliningrad region and the European Union, and a way of improvement of cooperation between the European Union and the Kaliningrad region are designated. Novelty and relevance of the article is to review the main directions of the development of the Kaliningrad region in the period of sanctions against the Russian Federation, and during the crisis period as well.
