Contemporary forms of civil activity in political process of Russia

The article examines the features of modern forms of civil activity, their role in political process of the Russian Federation. The author distinguishes several correlated levels of civil participation with their inherent specific characteristics, which are the crucial element in the political process. It is concluded that the civil activity developed from the local level up to the protest and political participation in the period from 2005 to 2012.
