Current imperatives of strategic planning in the region of the Russian Federation (exemplified by the territorial entities of Privolzhsky federal district)

The article reviews the Federal law no. 172-FZ “On the strategic planning in the Russian Federation” concerning the regulation of the main strategic planning documents. A table representing the main documents of strategic planning at all levels of government was prepared. The compliance with the formal requirements of the law regional authorities in the development and adoption of the document strategic planning was evaluated. 14 territorial entities of the Russian Federation, members of Privolzhsky Federal District, were chosen to be the regions to assess compliance with the formal requirements of the law. Regulations required for the purposes of strategic planning at the level of the RF territorial entity were listed, and the availability of registered acts in the regions was checked. The correlation between the available list of documents of strategic planning and the requirements of the Federal Law “On the strategic planning in the Russian Federation” was identified, and the ways to improve compliance with the requirements of the law in the regions were specified.
