Modern Sino-Russian relations as a basis of educational contacts between states

The problem of intercultural communication on the example of the interaction of modern Russia and China is revealed in the article. The works of Russian and foreign scientists on the cultural and civilizational characteristics of China and Russia, the perception of the images of each other by representatives of two cultures are analyzed. It was found that the communication of modern Russian and Chinese youth occurs in the absence of a sharp confrontation in the ideological and value orientations of the two civilizations; progressive growth of peoples' sympathy for each other; close cooperation of states in the international arena; expanding educational contacts under the influence of national strategies of states and joint projects in the framework of the SCO, Asia-Pacific region, and others. It is proposed to focus on the development of multicultural, national and socially responsible components in the educational contacts of Russia and China in the 21st century.
