There is no doubt that the economic success of any business entity is determined by its competitiveness. The article examines the issues and the main mechanisms for ensuring the competitiveness of the enterprise. The theoretical concepts of the competitiveness of enterprises in a market economy, the role of benchmarking and production innovations in enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, the means and tools of the digital economy as competitive advantages, the basics of a marketing strategy to improve the competitiveness of enterprises are reviewed. It was obtained that using the mechanisms considered by the author, one can increase the competitiveness of an enterprise and strengthen its financial stability as a whole. For this you need to consider the totality of all the problems of the enterprise and try to solve them all in stages. And the existence of an enterprise in the status of a competitive one is possible if its leadership complies with the main indicators of development. It is necessary to constantly improve the company, thereby distinguishing it from the stream of competitors.
