Modern methodological issues of the formation of the unity of the economic space

Within the framework of the conducted research, the results of which are presented in this article, the author set a goal in the form of identifying the most relevant methodological issues of the formation of the unity of the economic space of Russia at the present stage of development. The paper presents an analysis of this problem both within the framework of Russian specifics and in world practice, from the standpoint of the effectiveness of cluster formation, departmental (sectoral) strengthening, consolidation of the power of large cities, and opportunities for uniform regional development, each of which, according to its concept, forms the unity of the country's economic space.
