The article analyzes the trends and problems of design education, focusing on the development of students' independent creative abilities. Methods of improving creative skills, including curriculum reform and the establishment of studios, are discussed. The importance of creative independence for personal growth and social contribution is emphasized. The novelty of the paper lies in the application of creativity theory and learning theory to optimize the educational process.
