Modern project management methods

The article discusses the methods of project management in the field of software development. The features of flexible and cascade methodologies, their positive sides and disadvantages are determined. The essential differences of the investigated alternative ways of organizing the development of IT projects are revealed, and the possibilities of their use depending on the criteria proposed by the authors are considered. The necessity of improving the organizational culture, the implementation of the principles of adaptive management and the introduction of flexible planning systems for the development of economic entities is substantiated. The characteristics of projects as an environment for the introduction of modern project management methodologies are determined.
