Modern international trends for making road safety and their implementation on the example of China and Japan

The relevance of ensuring the safety of road users is undeniable, and is alarming for the entire world community, including in Russia. A significant contribution to the development of this scientific direction is made by the activities of Professor Vladimir Mayorov. Based on his analytical studies of foreign experience, it can be argued that a high level of road safety effectiveness should be sought in key factors: 1) the program-oriented nature of state policy in this area; 2) timely change of the legislative framework in this area in accordance with the changing conditions of the country's development; 3) the program-targeted nature of state policy in this area; 4) timely improvement of road infrastructure; 5) the use of innovative traffic safety management systems; 6) preventive work on the involvement of the entire population of the country in compliance with traffic rules and maintaining safety.
