Modern models of professional development: experience, problems, prospects

The article analyzes studies of domestic and foreign scientists on the problem of improving the teachers training quality by means of professional development system. The most perspective models of professional training abroad, in CIS Countries and in Russia and innovative tasks, solution of which is necessary for the development of teacher’s additional professional education system, are represented. Article reveals experience of Russian regional professional development institutions. Case study of Stavropol Krai shows the perspectives on the use of models of teacher-researchers training and workplace learning. The experience of modeling in the regional teachers’ professional development system is described. Attention was focused on the teacher-researcher’ school, which is presented as a complex and open system. The author provides examples of the efficient functioning of the teacher-researcher’s school in developing regional educational system and states his own position.
