The article raises the problem of the effectiveness of the use of traditional and innovative assessment tools for the current monitoring of progress in the development of educational and methodical complexes, implemented academic disciplines in the context of the competence approach. The classification of modern evaluation tools in the form of interaction between the participants of the educational process and the method of identifying the formed competencies is considered. The analysis of the results of research of preferences of the students in the implementation of some form of assessment tools and forms multiroute recommendations.
