The article examines the main trends in the international retail trade. The analysis and forecast of the volume of sales in Internet trade are presented. The basic requirements in the field of e-commerce are identified. It has been determined that the level of social responsibility and the reputation of the company affect the development of online commerce. The key factors of increasing the efficiency of retail sales and the problems of human resource management are considered.
