In the review of modern concept of pathology and pharmacotherapy of herpes zoster virus were analyzed. Complex therapy of varicella-zoster virus includes antiviral, immunobiological agents and drugs, affecting pathogenesis of the disease. Now acyclic nucleozydes are widely used as specific antiviral agents.
