Modern approaches to urban planning. Is there a need for public participation?

This article examines the phenomenon of citizen participation in urban governance. A study was conducted to find out the willingness of citizens to get involved in governance. We can talk about the formation of a par-tisipative culture in the Russian Federation, the formation of a civil society is taking place, capable of making decisions by the joint bodies of state and municipal authorities.
