The approaches to the design of the content of the disciplines of master's training in the direction of "Vocational training (by industry)" are presented. Ways to implement these approaches are considered on the example of designing the content of the educational program in the discipline "Pedagogical design" of the master program "Art Design". The conclusion is substantiated that the newly developed program provides mastering by graduates not only of individual labor functions, but also of generalized labor functions provided for in the professional standard of a vocational education teacher.
