The article is devoted to modern problems of passport and visa formalities on the example of the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic. Today, this question is the most actual, because there are big changes in the world, and the procedure for obtaining visas is also changing. The article defines such terms as "passport" and "visa", research the historical significance of the passport. The current problems of visa formalities are presented, as well as their possible solutions.
