One of the factors of the ship's environment that requires adaptation by seafarers during navigation is lighting. An irrational lighting environment can lead to impaired attention, reduced clarity in signal perception, and an increased risk of accidents. Lighting on ships is particularly important when navigating in the seas of the Arctic zone. This article analyzes Russian and foreign regulatory documents that govern lighting requirements in relation to the changing technical equipment and automation of ship management.
