The museum, as a relay of cultural heritage, strives to be relevant to modern society. Numerous tasks for the preservation and display of museum collections are solved through new technologies. The variety of choices makes it possible to take into account both the technical requirements of the museum and educational and entertainment tasks that allow museums to be interesting for a new generation. The degree of cultural development of a person depends on his ability to acquire knowledge and values. The museum is one of the forms of direct transmission of both, and therefore, to a certain extent, forms the culture of society as a whole. An accessible form of obtaining knowledge is the task of modern technology developers, and the task of the museum is the use of technology to establish continuous contact between the institution and visitors. Websites, pages on social networks, advertising and mailing lists are only part of the remote impact on the visitor. In the museum itself, modern technologies contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage, scientific work with exhibits, make rarities available for tactile, visual and auditory perception, both exhibit items and information about them. Sociological research confirms the relevance of using technological capabilities in the framework of museum activities.
