Modern trends in urban planning within the smart city concept

The article is devoted to modern trends in urban planning within the concept of "smart city". The influence of innovative technologies on changes in the urban environment is considered. The possibilities of widespread use of digital technologies that contribute to the development of new tools, models and methods of urban management are analyzed, using the example of the city of Arkadag under construction in Turkmenistan. The main directions that must be observed in modern urban planning within the framework of the "smart city" concept are highlighted.
