Modern trends in surgical treatment of thrombosis in vena centralis retinae and its branches

The review analyzes the modern state of the problem of surgical treatment of thrombosis in the central retinal vein and its branches. The authors evaluated clinical efficacy of various methods of surgical treatment of this pathology, determined indications for their use, outlined possible complications in the postoperative period, and discussed the prospects for implementation of the experimental methods of retinal veins occlusion treatment such as the use of femtosecond laser energy and intravascular mechanical destruction of thrombus.
