Modern trends in the manifestation of extremism and their impact on the socio-political situation in Russia

The article examines the current trends in the manifestation of extremism and their impact on the socio-political situation in Russia. Based on the study of foreign and domestic material, a definition of modern extremism is given, its essence and content are determined, modern types and forms of manifestation are analyzed. Attention is drawn to the strengthening of extremist sentiments among young people. A brief overview of the influence of world trends on the aggravation of the socio-political situation in Russia, through the intensification of mass protest events, which are organized and carried out using extremist techniques, is carried out. Emphasis is placed on protecting traditional values, including against threats emanating from international extremist organizations whose activities have long gone beyond their limits, exerting their influence on the Russian relevant structures.
