In the article the modern trends in the food industry of the Russian Federation, is a comparative assessment of regional security in agricultural production to the level of development in which the food industry. The conclusion about the necessity to carry out a comprehensive restructuring agriculture, improving methods and instruments of state control and implementation of the system of measures aimed at import substitution. Underlining the importance of resolving problems of social partnership of authority and business as principle of formation of system of tools of restructuring and mechanisms to assure the quality of economic growth.
