Female crime in Russia is characterized by a relative stability of its proportion in the structure of criminality, cyclic character of its development and a more sensitive character of its condition to the changes in the criminogenic environment as compared with criminality in general. The causes of female white-collar crime are social and psychological changes such as women emancipation in the modern society, their changed social role and gender attitudes combined with new criminogenic factors of female crime, assigning women with tasks to take care of the family against the situation with female discrimination in employment sphere and holding low-paid positions. Conclusions. The structure of female crime for the last 15 years tends to polarize two main types of female crimes: “general” and “white-collar”. The main development in the long-run distance is demonstrated by deliberate crime of avarice including white-collar crimes.
