Contemporary tendencies of mortality due to suicides in Zabaykalsky region

The aim of this work was to describe the epidemiological characteristics and trends of mortality from suicide in Zabaykalsky region. The article contains analysis of State statistics for the period 1995 to 2015. In Zabaykalsky region still remains tense situation with the mortality rate from suicide: it is extremely high (50,1 per 100 thousand in 2015) and higher than in the Russian Federation and the Siberian Federal district (2,9 and 2,0 times). The highest prevalence of suicide was among males (86,6 per 100 thousand), of persons of working age (73,1 per 100 thousand) and adolescents (63,4 per 100 thousand), and rural (74,9 to 100 thousand). The modern trends of development assistance to the population of Zabaykalsky region in the crisis States and suicidal behavior.
