Current trends in the concealment of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances

The article is devoted to the consideration of the methods for concealing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances during drug trafficking. The authors propose the classification of these methods. The article also considers the methods of concealment associated with changes in the state of aggregation of controlled substances by changing their physical and chemical properties. The results of the activities of anti-drug units in a number of foreign countries to identify disguised narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances are analyzed. The current trends in the ways of disguise of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, including using chemical methods in drug laboratories, are considered. The authors determine the issues of detection of disguised drugs and suggest solutions to some of them.
