The article examines the main trends in the development of modern choreography. From a strictly structured discipline subordinated to the academic canons of ballet, it has turned into a multi-layered, interdisciplinary and critical field in which the body becomes a means of philosophical aesthetic expression, technical experiment. The article shows that modern choreography is no longer an isolated art form. It becomes an interactive, synthetic and conceptually saturated field where body, space, media and sound interact on equal terms. Modern choreography proceeds from the fact that the stage is a space for performative actions, where the boundaries between genres blur. Choreography becomes a language in which one can think, argue, and feel. This makes it an essential part of the modern cultural landscape, a sensitive barometer of the changes taking place in society and man. Digital technologies are turning dance into a multisensory, interactive and hybrid art, where the boundaries between physical and virtual, live and digital, performer and viewer are blurred. This opens up new perspectives for exploring the body, movement, and space in 21st century choreography.
