Modern trends and analysis of the possibilities of increase in the efficiency of the combine harvester by improving the design of the feeder chamber

This paper presents a characteristic trend in changes in the throughput capacity of domestic grain harvesters. After 2000, an intensive increase in the productivity of the combines under consideration was revealed due to the expansion of the flow sections of the working bodies and the transition to multi-drum and rotary threshing and separating devices. To ensure a stable supply of straw mass in the threshing and separating device of grain harvesters, the importance of expanding the flow sections of the technological path of the inclined chambers while simultaneously ensuring the required level of weight and dimensional characteristics is highlighted. The article presents a typical design of inclined chambers with a description of the main elements that ensure the supply of mown plants from the header to the threshing drum or beater distributor of a rotary combine. There have been classified some scientific works in the direction of improving the designs of inclined chambers: increase in the speed of the technological process of transporting the mown mass and its preliminary preparation while simultaneously reducing crushing and injury to the grain; automation and increase in the volume and accuracy of adjustments, allowing you to adjust the feeder chamber to the specific conditions of the agricultural background while reducing the labor intensity of operational shift maintenance of the feeder chambers. The importance of developing universal modular functional systems for combine harves-ters is noted, allowing the creation of various configurations that satisfy a wide range of requirements. The article provides an analysis of publications and patents devoted to improving the designs of inclined chambers of combine harvesters. The main promising ways to improve the processes of transporting straw mass and feeding it into the threshing and separating devices of high-performance combine harvesters have been identified. An assessment is given for each direction of improving the designs of feeder chambers. Conclusions are also presented.
