Modern vectors of the constitutional development of Russia

The article is devoted to the analysis of the vectors of constitutional development of Russia after the 2020 constitutional reform. The results of the conducted research indicate that Russian statehood and constitutionalism are actively strengthening and developing. The author names the following vectors of constitutional development of Russia: strengthening sovereign statehood, searching for a national idea, centralizing the institution of local self-government, limiting the influence of international law on the country’s legal system. It is noted that the continuity and originality of constitutional development of Russia are based on effectively functioning constitutional norms, strong statehood, and willingness of the citizens to defend traditional values and ideals.
