Modern possibilities of seizure of DNA research objects in the detection and investigation of property crimes

The article is devoted to the most pressing issues of the use of special knowledge in the field of DNA research in the disclosure and investigation of property crimes, the authors on the basis of statistical data posted by the Federal State Institution “GIAC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia”, as well as personal experience in the performance of official duties as a specialist in the field of criminology and a specialist in the field of DNA research, the article reveals the problem of reducing the quality of the effectiveness of traditional forensic objects and traces seized during inspections of accident sites by specialists in the field of criminology of the forensic units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In this article, the authors statistically substantiate the current trend of decreasing the effectiveness of traditional forensic accounting, using the example of accounting for traces of hands, accounting for traces of shoe soles, accounting for traces of burglary tools, accounting for traces of tire treads. The analysis of the effectiveness of forensic DNA records is given. Further, the authors, based on examples of practical use of the potential of DNA research, substantiate the need to use the potential of DNA research in the disclosure and investigation of crimes related to the illegal seizure of vehicles, apartment thefts and thefts from premises. The article considers the situation on the territory of the Russian Federation related to the inadequate quality of seizures of forensic objects and traces carried out by specialists in the field of criminology during participation in inspections, places of theft of vehicles found after thefts and thefts of vehicles, thefts from apartments and premises. The authors of this article consider effective examples of detection and investigation of objects and traces containing DNA material seized from the scene of the incident, as recommendations that can be used by employees of practical units of the Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the most likely places of detection are indicated material suitable for further DNA research, for example, the participation of specialists in the field of criminology in the production of inspections of accident sites during the disclosure and investigation of theft of vehicles found after thefts and theft of vehicles, thefts from apartments and premises.
