Modern opportunities for primary and secondary prevention of breast cancer

Prevention of breast cancer is divided into primary and secondary. The first involves genetic and screening studies, the second is the prevention of the development of recurrent cancer. There is an improvement in the assessment of cancer risk systems in women with currently undetected malignant neoplasms and their re-development after treatment. The number of preventive surgical interventions (prophylactic mastectomy, prophylactic adnexectomy) in patients with BRCA mutations is constantly increasing.
