The article examines the relationship between conflict and famine - the exacerbation of one is usually followed by the other. Conflict, for example, negatively affects almost every aspect of the food system, from production, harvesting, processing and transportation to supply, financing, marketing and consumption. As in any crisis, it is the poorest and most vulnerable who suffer the most, and in our globalized world, the consequences of this conflict will reverberate on all continents. The two years of the COVID-19 pandemic have already taken a toll on global food systems. Some regions are affected more than others.
