Modern challenges in the modernization of the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic

The article considers the most important and urgent problems of improving and modernizing the agro-industrial complex (AIC) of the Kyrgyz Republic, which plays a strategic role in ensuring food security, employment of the population and sustainable socio-economic development of the state. The agro-industrial complex of the country is considered as a multilevel integration system, including agriculture, processing industry, logistics and transportation infrastructure, as well as research and coordination bodies. Under the conditions of ongoing post-Soviet transformation and globalization processes, the agro-industrial complex faces a set of institutional, technological and managerial problems that require a systematic approach. These indicators characterize the economic, financial, production, social and cultural orientation of the functioning of the agro-industrial complex, which is focused on a significant contingent of the rural population employed in this sphere. Taking into account the existing aspects of the AIC functioning, it is necessary to analyze and forecast the state of the AIC in modern market conditions and geopolitical realities, and this should be reflected in the further algorithm for developing a strategy for further modernization and improvement of the AIC of the Kyrgyz Republic. Also in the text of the article the aspects of the tree of goals of the AIC direction, investment development, development of science and scientific support, investment environment are highlighted. The authors emphasize the need to implement inertial, revolutionary and evolutionary scenarios of further development of the agro-industrial complex. The authors emphasize that in modern market conditions there is an urgent need to implement urgent and targeted measures that can ensure effective transformation of the agro-industrial complex. Insufficient use of analytical and prognostic planning tools limits the potential of the industry. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that it is necessary to develop and implement a comprehensive program of modernization of the agro-industrial complex of the Kyrgyz Republic. Such a program will allow to improve the efficiency of all parts of the agro-industrial complex, accelerate the economic development of the country and strengthen its food independence.
