Modern artistic felt of the Republic of Altai: general tendencies of development

This article reviews development tendencies of artistic felt in the Republic of Altai in the end of XX - beginning of XXI century. It is noted that the felt manufacture in the region enjoys its resurgence. This process consists of: recreation of regional native people ’s traditional felt manufacture, professional artists’ experiments, and wide range of international and intercultural interaction.
