Devoted to the modern approach in solving the difficulties encountered in teaching the Russian language to the Greeks. The significance of a comparative analysis of Russian and native students’ languages, as well as an ethno-oriented approach in teaching Russian as a foreign language, is substantiated. Of the common difficulties that Greek students face in learning the Russian language, the main ones related to the learning of verbs are highlighted. It is revealed that the errors are caused not only by the structural differences of the two languages, but also by the national-cultural characteristics of the Russians and the Greeks. The introduction of a mobile application into the process of learning Russian verbs of the movements of the Greeks is shown in order to facilitate their assimilation and correctness of their use in oral and written speech. An attempt was made to transform and supplement the existing set of exercises and tasks for the verbs of movement with new ones, taking into account the mistakes inherent in Greek students, and submit it in a new, most familiar modern tense format.
